Happy 4th of July everyone! Today we celebrated the 4th like real Americans: we ate BBQ at a lake after we went to the parade and now we're grilling outside before we go see fireworks. Super festive Americans we are. We got Big Hole BBQ which was absolutely incredible. We drove to Slide Lake and the water was too cold so we didn't actually get in but we sat on some rocks and soaked up some rays. After about an hour and a half we finally got kicked off of the private property we were trespassing on so we headed home (though we were about to leave any way). Catherine and I made a cake and now we're in the process of making dinner and then we plan to go to the foot of Snow King to watch the firework show (we've already marked our spot with chairs and a blanket...like pros). Any way...besides those things, not many exciting things have happened today. On the way to the lake we had Lip (Fran's dog) and Ruby both with us and the back of the car was packed so they BOTH sat in the middle seat between me and Catherine. I have a few battle scars...I got scratched multiple times...and Catherine got bit (by Lip). We moved everything into the middle seat on the way home and made the dogs sit in the back which proved to be more successful.
Tomorrow Aunt Susie and I are going to work on the farm with Sarah...should be fun.
